Easter (Pascha) Services
APRIL 8 – Palm Sunday: Entry of Christ into Jerusalem. Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. The pussy willows will be blessed at the end of the Holy Liturgy. Following their anointment, the willows will be distributed.
APRIL 9 – The beginning of HOLY WEEK: The final week before the observance of Christ’s Resurrection is known as the Holy Week or Passion Week. These are the holiest days of the year, a time for accentuated prayer and fasting. LET US DO WHATEVER WE CAN to observe this final week of the Great Lent.
APRIL 12 – Great and Holy Thursday, Passion of Christ: Reading of the Twelve Gospels at 7:00 p.m. APRIL 13 – Great and Holy Friday: Vespers and bringing out of the HOLY SHROUD (PLASHCHANYTSYA) at 7:00 p.m.
APRIL 14 - Great and Holy Saturday: Acts of the Apostles at 7:00 p.m. Polunoshnytsia at 8:00 p.m.

Please note that there will be no confessions heard on Easter morning, April 15th. We suggest that worshippers participate in confession and communion on the Sundays preceding Easter or at the other mid week services prior to Easter.
EASTER FELLOWSHIP HOUR: On Easter Sunday, April 15, following the Blessing of Easter baskets, those who wish to remain and share a Fellowship Hour and their Easter basket foods with other worshipers are cordially invited to do so. Camp Kolomayka Registration
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Camp Kolomayka is a B.C. Ukrainian Orthodox Camp for children ages 7 to 15.
The Camp objective is to instil, teach and promote the Ukrainian culture, language, and faith in an atmosphere that provides an opportunity for bonding and developing leadership skills. Children are left with a lifetime of fond memories after a summer at Camp Kolomayka .
Campers will participate in Ukrainian Language classes, study of the Orthodox Faith, cultural arts & crafts, sports and games! All the meals are all home cooked and healthy!
When: July 29th to August 12 , 2012
Where: Abbotsford, B.C.
Ages: 7 to 15
The Camp Kolomayka Councillors are experienced camp councillors, first-aid certified, lifeguard certified and really fun too!

Church Cleaning March 31st
Orphanage Project in Ukraine
The Western Eparchy Council is now actively organizing a trip to Ukraine in the late summer of 2012. A small mission team will accompany Bishop Ilarion to Ukraine ; its goal is to assist a local orphanage tend to its young community. The Western Eparchy is calling upon the assistance of congregations and individual members to assist with this project.
Please make your donations to: Orphanage Project in Ukraine , c/o The western Eparchy. Please send your donations directly to The Western Eparchy Office, 11404 – 112 Ave., Edmonton , AS. T5G 0H6. The Eparchy will issues tax receipts for these donations. For those who would like to identify youth who are 18 years and over as possible candidates for this trip, please notify the Western Eparchy by letter or telephone: 780-455-1938. Parish Theophany Meal (Spil’na Kutia) – Cancelled
Unfortunately due to the winter weather we are regrettably cancelling our Feast of Jordan Meal. We will endeavour to host the dinner on Sunday after the regular Divine Liturgy.
PLEASE NOTE: The Eve of Epiphany Prayer Service will still be held at 6:00pm.
January 18th marks the Eve of Epiphany which is part of our Ukrainian Orthodox practice. The prayer service will commence at 6pm followed by the traditional Christmas Eve meal in the Auditorium.
The cost of the meal will be as follows: Adults $10; Youth (12 -18) – $5; and Children under 12 years – free.
We also will join the Cathedral Choir in the singing of some of our beautiful Ukrainian Christmas carols. Please do plan to attend this special event.
